Middle Fork and Selway access

I have a river tip down the Selway in a few weeks and possibly a Middle Fork trip shortly after. From what i have heard the roads to the launch points are both still very buried in snow and probably will be for several more weeks. I was just wondering if anybody has flown over the area by Bruce meadows and the area between Darby, MT and the Selway. I know it is tough to see the roads and most probably weren't looking but I'm trying to get a report of how much snow is there. I saw some pictures of guys snowmobiling to the put-in on the Middle Fork last weekend and there is still a ton of snow. I still haven't got a report about the Selway other than the road is closed. It will really suck if I have to cancel both trips. The cool weather and all the snow is probably making good business for Low&Slow, flying all the boaters in, but for those of us who can't afford to charter a plane it really sucks.

Selway

Howdy Whee,

I am currently in Grangeville, ID with my 180 and I took a flight up the Selway last Sat. Moose Creek and Shearer looked pretty good as far as strips go. I tried to drive up to our elk camp on Sunday above the Clearwater and it seems anything above about 5000 still has lots of snow or drifts that are not passable yet. Hope this helps.
