Missing person near Ohio/Indiana border
A general forum for anything related to flying the backcountry. Please check first if your new topic fits better into a more specific forum before posting.
Ben Benoit, 20, the brother of a friend was last seen or heard from Friday night. He is driving a lifted Black '05 Chevy pickup from Washington D.C. to Chicago on I-70. The family has posted a 5,000$ reward. Pm me for a number if spotted or contact the local authorities which have also been notified. The family has also offered to pay for fuel.

It's hard to soar with eagles when you are surrounded by turkeys
Any idea how the roads were around the time of him going missing (wet, snow, ice)? I've heard many story's of drivers running off the road into ditch's or off the side of a hill and out of view from passing vehicles.
Hope they find him safe!

Weather could not have been a factor. It has been perfect, no winds, no rain, etc. Are there gas slips that show him that far west??
I am close to I-70, but am in the eastern part of the state and would look if that's a possibility??

...remember, life is uncertain, eat desert first!
... and, those that pound their guns into plows, will plow for those who don't.
Thank you for your help. That is what this community is great at. He was found successfully in a local jail after a D.U.I. His one call must not have been to his family! Thanks anyway

All's well that ends well? I imagine his family has mixed feelings. Glad he is safe.

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.

Yup, he is a dumb shit. At least for him he is a living dumb shit. Reward from his worried family probably going to bail.
