Moab, UT last week of May

If anybody is going to be in Moab area last week of May and looking for someone to fly with; wife/I/Husky will be parking RV in Price and flying out of Carbon County (KPUC). We typically tour area (from air) and land and check out the sights at most of the strips in the area for 2-3 days. We're bringing ebikes (in RV of course) this year as there are apparently some trails north of Price that we want to try this year. We typically stop at Huntington (69V) for fuel; usually cheaper and neat little airport. 69V is also great for tenters- some grassy areas with a shower. We're pretty laid back so if you're interested, PM me.

Then, we'll be 5 weeks in Cascade, ID and Coeur d alene flying most of Idaho and eastern OR & WA. Old, fat and cripple so I prefer my king bed and AC; hence the 5th wheel RV and flying out each day. Did I say I love being retired.

Have fun. It's a little warm over there for me this time of year, but we have some trips up to idaho sorta pencilled in - but nothing specific. I'm breaking in some new cylinders so no firm plans until all the kinks are worked out.

The Utah Backcountry Pilots association spring fly in at Ibex is May 20.
It does get pretty warm out in Utah in May, perhaps hit some of the higher elevation strips. Cedar Mountain, Dolores Point, there are also a few strips north of I-70 that I can't remember the names of, they are in the 7000's and higher.

Join Utah Backcountry Pilots ($35) and download the content pack to your ForeFlight. There are a lot of great strips with information about each strip, some have photos. Well worth it

All good info; joined UBCP several years ago after the first time we flew Husky in the area. Met UBCP members camping at Mexican Mountain that year and by somewhat chance also met Asa at Mineral Canyon; decided this is definitely a very good area. Foreflight additions are also great tool.
Thanks
