A flight of 2 Bonanza's came into my airport yesterday evening and did a straight-in initial with an overhead break, then a low pass, & then (finally) flew the pattern (again) and landed. My regular 45 entry wasn't gonna work out to be conflict free with them on the last circuit so I said I'd turn out & orbit to wait for them to do their thing. PITA-- wish they'd just done their overhead break & landed, that woulda been appropriate.
Then they had to wait after they landed so they could taxi together in close trail, which fouled up my landing on the grass next to the parallel. PITA again. Personally speaking, if people are gonna do shit like that I wish they'd just do it when they're at home (like I do). What cracks me up is that every one of the guys (and gals) who do that whole OH break thing tell ya that "it's the quickest way to get the flight on the ground" -- which it might be if they'd forgo the high pass, the low pass, & the smoke pass.
