Kinda like an Avid Magnum, which I built and flew for 40+ hours. It had an 0-320 in it and performed real well in climb and cruise, but was not so good on the low end, not enough wing for my taste for the weight. The original designer was an old Avid guy, and was based out of Helena for a while. A buddy, Gary, and I took a trip up there to see about him building the wood ribs, another friend of mine who I introduced to Dan Denny, built all the Kitfox ribs for some years out of his cabinet shop in Pocatello. Gary ended up building less then half a dozen sets of ribs as I recall, then it kind of fizzeled out.
With your experience with the Avid and Kitfox line, building this up shouldn't present any particular problem. That Magnum cruised at 118 mph ind. Big baggage obviously, like the Magnum.
