Re: Moose creek conditions

I flew into Moose Creek two weeks ago and it was amazing! The long runway was still closed due to some soft spots but they have likely dried up by now. The short runway was dry and the grass was short. I posted pictures here: https://backcountrypilot.org/forum/jeredp-s-trip-reoprts-18500

Re: Moose creek conditions

Anyone know if Moose Creek is open. I see no TFR there but I know there's a fire close to it.

With smoke, conditions can change hourly. Wouldn't be at all uncommon to get in just fine and then not be able to get out for days.

It is better to be late in this world, than early in the next.

Re: Moose creek conditions

Called yesterday and it is closed because of that fire.
