Just received a call from Bill. They are canceling the fly in this weekend due to the incoming snow storm. They will reschedule in the spring.

How thick you reckon the ice is up there right now? I'm measuring 6-7" here but it's been so warm the last 4-5 days that I don't think much new ice is forming. I worry about this new snow load causing cracks and overflow. Slush on the lake sucks!

The last measurement on Moose Lake was on 12/5 that was just shy of 10”. While at the Tower airport late yesterday, I spoke with a guy who had a fish house in the narrows coming out of pike bay into big bay. He told me they were close to 12”. I can tell you there are some big ice houses out already.
