More reality TV: "Plane Xtreme" on the Weather Channel

Get ready for it... FERRY PILOTS!

Saw this linked on Alaska Dispatch... looks pretty good, actually. Hopefully we'll see more aviation shows capitalizing on the success of Flying Wild Alaska and Ice Pilots. Looks like much of the same manufactured drama, but oh well. Better than 95% of current TV shows.

Plane Xtreme schedule on The Weather Channel:
9:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday - Monday
12:00 am to 1:00 am, Monday - Monday
9:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Friday - Friday
12:00 am to 1:00 am, Friday - Friday

I DVR'd it a few days ago and just watched the first episode tonight. Overall it was pretty good. You're right that there is the same drama that is found in all of the other flying shows as far as the narrator really pushing the whole "every flight could be their last" thing but that's ok with me as long as I get to watch someone flying. Of course ferrying a small plane thousands of miles while having to cross the ocean is a tad more dangerous than me flying 15 miles in a 2 knot wind to get a $100 hamburger. Just a tad.
