Not a whole lot of variety with Butch and me. We both are helicopter pilots, crop dusters, and pipeline patrol pilots, but he is from Vancouver and has done professional acrobatic shows and I'm just a hillbilly. Lloyd, the other ramrod with Mike, is an old OH-58 Scout pilot. Mike is the director of Alberta Angel Flight.

Butch is located in Chilliwack, about 10 minutes away from me. He has been doing a very good job of getting pilots comfortable flying in the mountains but especially with slow flight. I talked to a number pilots that went through his program and thought this has your style written all over it. Small world.

Also a scheduling and trip planning klutz. I will layover, on the flight up to Calgary, at DEN and on the return to Branson. I will be at the Quality Inn Denver International Airport on 6890 Tower Road Thursday 04 October until 1pm. I will be at the same hotel Wednesday 10 October until 2pm.

Doing a map recon, I was looking at the deep glaciation all across the mountains west of Grand Prairie. It makes me glad these young pilots have all that GPS location gear.

That got me to thinking about running around the Song Be Mountains evading Charlie, when I got shot down. Didn't have survival vest radio because REMF were absconding with those Air Force beauties.

That got me to thinking about current events and remembering the morale boost I had back then because we had the greatest POW leadership in the history of warfare.

Frontier has cancelled my flight out of Branson and back. My new Westjet schedule has my RONs at Edmonton Alberta going up 02 October and Toronto Ontario on the return 09 October. I will have more days in Grande Prairie 03 to 08. All Canadian eh!

I will catch Denver pilots another time.

Several airplanes from the seminar on 06 October will be out west of Grande Prairie at Tumbler Ridge CXJ7 all day 07 October.
