My Own Airstrip?

Hello Backcountry Pilots,

My wife and I are purchasing an additional 74 acres surrounding family property and home in North Idaho. This has been a long journey buying this property from a family member that very much resembles the cartoon character "Mr. Burns" on the Simpson's. He insisted on utilizing a "realtor" (a term meaning, another guy with his hand in your pocket).

Anyway that said, we are very excited about the North Idaho land purchase, and potential 1200 foot grass runway only about 175 yards from the house. This airstrip will require work to include cutting down some cottonwood trees, the neighbors D-6, and a small power-line trenched or relocated.

I can't give anyone permission to land there at "No-Tell-Um Creek International", however I would not have anyone arrested either. This is a dream come true.

Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process... :)
With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

Very Pretty. I had a dozer on my place over the weekend. Will need more to get my grounds even better.

Way cool to have your plane about 90 seconds away by Polaris. Congrats. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to own a plane and have it at home.

I'm sure it's not uncommon, but this is my dream. House, hanger, short walk to your plane, and a great view at the base of a mountain. Congrats!
