My thoughts

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I flew from Salmon to Joseph and back to attend the "Run the Wallowa's" event. Joseph is a great fly- in destination. (sure miss IAA's bike shed that blew down)
On the return flight we observed (I believe it was a Kit Fox) enter the main Salmon from the South Fork low level at Mackay Bar and fly low level up stream then turning up the Middle Fork continuing on. I'm sure it was a exhilarating experience for him but my comment to my partner was "I wonder how many anti aviation letters from rafters, fishermen, hikers, etc, will be written to the Forest Service from that one flight"
I think it's going to be a long summer.

Fly pipeline instead of the river. Just as good an energy management turn workout and use the "onecall" number to report dirt digging or leaks. Because of lawyers, the newer the pipeline the more crooked it will be.
