NAVWORX- Frustrated
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
I ordered my Navworx ADSB system July 15 of this year. I was informed and knew prior to ordering it would be 3-4 weeks before it arrived, up to 8 weeks possible. No worries as I was still deployed and had the time. Date goes by and nothing.
Shoot Bill an email Aug 22 and told 3-4 more weeks. Well, ok. Shit
Sep 27....No reply.
Oct 9..it's now been 6 weeks since the last estimate. He says they are setting up production and all backlogs will be shipped by Oct 20th
Nov 18. Another email sent and still no reply 7 days later.
Am I the only one dumb enough to sit and wait around on this? At this point I'm just pissed he's held onto my $1630 for so long and keeps giving bullshit dates. If he would have managed expectations from the start, I probably would've looked elsewhere for a system or spent the money on double puck brakes. The website still says a 3-4 week lead time (wrong). I'm this deep into it, he's got me by the balls and I might as well wait it out. Just need to vent in case anyone else is thinking about ordering this. I hear it's a great product, but expectation management and product delivery is a bit lacking.

I actually hadn't see that thread yet. At this point I'm just going to put it out of my mind and when it does (if it does) show up down the road, I'll be pleasantly surprised. At this point no one can touch his prices and capabilities. I'm all about the small business thing and I think they are awesome products, but maybe he needs to focus on the product and get someone in there to help manage the business aspect of it.
I haven't heard anything more on google getting in on this, but I would be interested to see what they come out with.

The fact that you've already paid and they aren't returning your calls sends up a red flag for me. I'd request a refund until such time as they can fill your order, and if you don't get a response to that pretty quick I'd think about contacting the better business bureau or someone about the situation. Unfortunately aviation has a history of take-your-money-and-run entrepenuers, they may have meant well but when things didn't work out as planned lotsa people lost their dough.

I was able to get a hold of someone today and got some info. I'm #109 on the list now. The units that were put into production had a flaw that Bill didn't like so I guess those are being repaired. Expected to ship 3rd week in Dec. I'll be standing by...
