Aerocet is getting into the metal float business. Market research has shown that some people just want aluminum floats.

I know, I know, it is only a joke, But my buddy in Alaska sent me this and I though it was funny. Plus we all know the best floats are riveted..

Market research also shows that people want their aluminum floats pre-dented as hell to avoid that "new float-itis" anxiety.

Zane,
I think you are on to something. I will start offering my customers that "Alaska float plane look" if they want their floats to have that real bush plane appeal. They can just let me dock the plane a few times and run it up onto a gravel bar a time or two.

For that real Alaska (or at least Anchorage) look, you could add the Lake Hood scum markings at the water line. Maybe a vinyl decal? Then add some water to the hatches and dangle some air fresheners inside scented with mildew. I think you will have a lot buyers checking these options on the order form. It shouldn't add too much additional expense either.
