In you TR you mentioned flying your BH to Alaska. Imagine how much easier it would be to get a replacement part for these in the middle of no where... More $$$ than Groves, Less $$$ than Clevelands. Maybe a good compromise between money saved and value added?
That is often the case made for Clevelands in the Experimental camp: parts availability.
I have 2 questions:
1. I have 1.5" axles as the Bearhawk axles are integrated (i.e. welded) into the gear leg. I see that the 199-62 are for a 1.5" axle, but are 3-bolt, double puck. Which Cessna 180's used 1.5" axles? I thought all the bolt-on axles were 1.25"
2. Is 3-bolt adequate for 2500 lb max gross with 31's?
