New friends and Biplanes

An Air France pilot had a layover in Houston a couple of weeks ago. He owns a Stearman and wanted to meet some other Stearman pilots. I gave him a ride and he shot this with his iPhone. New friendships were made and to me that's what flying is all about

Thought you guys might enjoy it.

Re: New friends and Biplanes

Good for you. I flew with a number of Air France pilots when I lived in Fairbanks in floatplanes. Every one of those folks were genuine AVIATORS of the first order, and fantastic friends to boot. The day after 9/11, my email inbox was full of personal notes from AF pilots I'd flown with, passing on their condolences.

Glad to see others in this country take the opportunity to fly with some of these gents. If he owns a Stearman in France, he is TRULY an aviation junkie. Airplane ownership in Europe is not easy or cheap.

Good on you!!

Very cool Phil, very cool. Looked like a special day of friends and Stearman flying.
