New Guy from Ohio saying Hi
A general forum for anything related to flying the backcountry. Please check first if your new topic fits better into a more specific forum before posting.
Just thought I would stop in and say hi to everyone. Im 29 and from central ohio. I've had a love for flying sense that very first ride when I was 5 years old. For one reason or another (mostly financial) I've never got the opportunity to get my pilots license. Well it looks like I've finally got things in order and this summer im going to get to work on getting my PPL.
There is also a slight possibility I may also get buy my own plane. Im thinking something along the lines of a Taylorcraft.
I just wanted to thank everyone for this forum and the absolute wealth of information here.

That's exactly what im hoping the future holds for me. As much as I like all things aviation, paved runways have never excited me quite like the idea of landing on the grass. At one time we had 700 feet out by my parents place but they ran power lines across it a couple years ago.

Good luck with your license! It is nice to see some people still willing to go for it. May seem pricey at first, but there is nothing like it in the world!
