Two weeks ago Saturday, and then Sunday, several S39 and John Day folks flew out to Hampton, rough GPS coordinates 48.6484 -120.2136 this parallels Hwy 20 between Brothers and Hampton, about 1.5m west of Hampton. The strip is about 2300' long and maybe 75' wide, packed hard dirt. Very smooth and flat. A couple of C182's, a Cherokee 180, and several tail wheel aircraft, for a total of about nine, landed there. We buzzed the Hampton restaurant, you can also call them, and they came out and picked us up. Good food, and lots of it, family run business.
The rw is right in front, a bit hard to see. If you see the hay storage on the north side of US20, you are there. Hampton, which consists of the restaurant, of course is behind this picture.

Looks like a good place to eat. Can't seem to make out the strip on Google maps? Which side of the highway?

It's on the south side of Hwy 20. The runway is so new, it's probably not on Google maps. There's a hay storage barn on the north side of the highway, all alone, so it's not too hard to find. I found it by flying to the Hampton restaurant, then flying back west along the south side of the highway.
