Re: New show

Well, Jim and crew are good folks and the real deal. Let's see how Discovery Channel does with the operation.

Sure hard to keep up with what airline is owned/operated by who now. When did Hageland's, Frontier, Cape Smythe, and Era all become one? I worked for most of 'em over the years.

I think the big "consolidation" has been underway for the last 4 or 5 years. I was of the understanding that Frontier is the one that sucked them all up, but my information could be incorrect. I understand the feds have had a major hand in it.

Could be totally fulla' shit, though, you know how rumors work here in the north.

My buddy worked for Cape Smythe in the mid-90's. Lots of stories for sure.

Re: New show

I was working for Yute in Kotz when Ron got killed in the 1900, and things were afoot then with Hageland's, Cape Smythe and Frontier. But after I left, I kinda lost track of all the merger stuff. Too many moving parts. In a way it's kinda sad to see the end of the Sleds and other piston stuff, but sure nice to have the IFR equipment, big runways, and kerosene burners to make cabins nice and warm.

It's about time they make a show like this. I guess I better set my DVR.
