New "SuperCross Cub" design announced, but ??

Has anyone heard anything more about a new design called the “Supercross Cub” ?
There was a short thread over on supercub.org .

.
There is a new kit going into production that will be introduced at OSH, booth 19. The Supercross Cub is a patent pending aircraft design concept that will change the way some people look at Super Cubs. It will haul things Super Cubs, Maule's, C-180's and Bearhawk's simply can't. It looks from the outside very much like a PA-14, dimensionally just a few inches larger, grosses 2200lbs and uses many Cub parts. It will haul four people or two people and a full size enduro motorcycle without having to fold or disassemble anything…and that's just the beginning. It is well engineered and well funded.

.
Due to un-foreseen circumstances the Supercross Cub will NOT be at Oshkosh but is on track for production.
July 2015
In defense of the Bearhawk 4 Place, their capacity to haul stuff, particularly with the back seats removed, is not too shabby at all. The Maules also do okay. I will be interested to see what this mythical SuperCross beast will look like.

It will probably have the motorcycle strapped to the bottom.

The airplane is definitely not a myth. Production tooling is finished. It will change the way people think about hauling things they can't currently take to places STOL airplanes like to go. I think we'll see something official early next year.

Anyone know if this project is continuing, or is it dead in the water?

They said it was well funded. So that means that they probably had a financial analyst on staff, and the financial analyst looked at the aviation industry, and immediately instructed the well-funded funder to run away with his hair on fire.

Having a financial analyst in GA aviation is totally redundant.

It may have something to do with the image at 1:25 in this awesome video that Zane put together:

Which looks incredibly awesome!

@ Scolopax :

That was a great observation.

I think with the BackCountry Supercub LSA project on hold or terminated, Sherpa in the Twilight Zone, Cessna 162 axed, etc,, many of the more "Iffy" initiatives are being given ever closer scrutiny for financial viability.

Of course, full speed ahead with others such as the RANS S20, VANS RV14, JUST Super STOL/XL, and more.

I do hope the Double Ender effort and other equally innovative electric-powered initiatives such as the PSA Merlin from Aeromarine will continue.

The project is alive and well and progressing nicely. Lots of cool stuff IN the airplane….compactor not necessary.

I am glad to hear that. Do you happen to know if there will be any announcements at SunNFun, Oshkosh, or some other event in 2016?

I am happy to hear that. I love to see new companies emerge, and also wish them great success in what I know is a very competitive market. Private aviation seems to be an ever increasingly more expensive hobby with a very greying membership. At EAA and AOPA seminars one needs but to take a quick sweep of the room to get a feel for the demographics of the hobby. With the widespread obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes factors also coming into play, it all becomes very confusing.

I hope the company is able to make a big impression at Oshkosh ! I wish them all the best.
