New to Backcountry pilot

Hello all,
I am a new member here, have lurked for a while. I live in the province of Ontario not many back country opportunities in my area, however I really enjoy everything on here and have dreams of expanding my back country flying. I am currently a low time pilot, I got my licence in October.
I am currently in a partnership on a 1966 Cessna 172G. I used this plane to get my license with. I have a few pictures on here of it, sorry no cool big tires.
I feel I have learned a lot on here and hope to continue learning more and participation as my limited experience allows.

Re: New to Back Country Pilot

When I first saw your post I thought "He's from Ontario, there has to be tons of backcountry flying nearby.". Then I looked at a map. Lots of us forget how bloody big Ontario is.

Regardless, welcome. This is a fabulous site with a very knowledgeable community.

Re: New to Back Country Pilot

You are right I should have said southern Ontario, however I did have the opportunity to do a fly in moose hunt in northern Ontario last fall. My first trip on floats I think I can see a float plane in my future.

Welcome! Happy to have you. Our Ontario contingent seems to be growing. We have some cool content coming soon from that region actually.

My first helpful hint for you is...

Backcountry is one word. 8)
