Already have a bunch of parts I will be installing, but my primary idea is to keep this aircraft as light as possible, while still being mission oriented.
New 850 x 6 tires, Scott 3200 TW, Cleveland Brake Conv, Shoulder Harnesses are just the beginning. I am planning on keeping it a VFR bird, going with some Becker Lightweight radio and transponder combo after selling the Narco units I have now. I also will be using my iPad with Garmin Pilot and a GDL 39 3D to really enhance the usability of the aircraft for finding remote fields.
My goal is to have a nice little camper aircraft to fly around some small strips in the midwest. I fly too often for someone else, so this would be a way to get back to something simpler. Currently, I spend most of my time flying a Hawker 400XP but I also fly a Cessna 421, Citation II, and King Air C90s. This will be the first aircraft I have owned myself for purely personal fun.
Here is the plane as it sits.

I have changed the carb, new spark plugs, new mags and wires. I am still unable to make full power and at high RPM the engine is still spitting and hesitating. I think It may be a cylinder or valve now. Although all the other changes did help significantly how well the engine ran and the new carb has is AD free. Fortunately I have access to plenty of Franklin parts locally so that should help. Also have a good amount of experience restoring and painting so this should be a fun little machine once it gets finished.
