Re: New To Forum

As soon as I learn how to post pictures i will get some on. Right now the planes is all covered except the fusalage. I should have that done in a week or the way my schedul goes maybe two. I am using a Jabaru 3300 for motivation. I am plane less at the time being, IMy last plane was a Bellanca260 Viking, I had to  when she left me, very sad day loved that olplane. But life goes on time for a new adventure. Don't have muchTW time and can't wait to get back in.

Re: New To Forum

Welcome Foxred,
I had a neighbor that had a Viking years ago. He really liked the plane, it di well for its hp. Unfortunately he retired from flying but I know he is still interested. Every time he sees me he asks where I have flown last and wants to hear every detail. The two saddest people I know are the two that sold their planes years ago and wish they hadn't. My plan is like yours, don't let go of one until you have the next in your hand or very close. Build it carefully and fly safe, if not for yourself then for the little one in your arms.

Re: New To Forum

Four years ago three couples of us flew our vikings, two 260's and one superviking out to Idaho. First stop was Thermoplis Wyoming for a hot spring soaking, and then on to Idaho. We were headed for Stanley, but one of the wives, not mine, started freaking out about the mountains so we diverted to Haley, rented a van and drove over to Stanley. Three days of fishing, eating, marcaritas. Had a blast. Went in to the airstripe and after checking out the strip,we really had no bussiness trying to land there, planes were capable, but we had know bussiness trying it. We had one pilot very little time. Then we went to Jacksonhole for 4 days and on for home. What a great tripe. And that is my mountain flying time. Just got my feet wet, can't wait to get the plane done. Would love to make the JC fly in to get some pointers and try some other stripes.

Re: New To Forum

Hey Foxred, nice to meet you today at the gun show. I'll let you know if I stop at K88 on my way home.

He was proudly wearing his BCP.org hat & picked him out of the crowd. Hope to see some pictures of the highlander soon if I don't see you.

Another bush pilot in the works (given that you're building a highlander i can only conclude that pavement aint your favorite surface!!)

Cant wait to see your highlander photos as well, Welcome to BCP (what engine did you decide to go with...Rotax or Jaribu?)

Cheers!
