With a name like Gump, only thing my airplane can be called is "Jenny."

Hey Jr CubBuilder. Edit your post and try to use somthing besides the F-bomb. Get yourself a thesaurus to expand your vocabulary. I have grandkids that enjoy these posts.

When I finally get around to owning an RV-8 I will have to name it Metal Mistress, but that will be quite a while yet.

Yellow Peril was given to her by the Octgenarian pilot next to us at our old base in Wa. My wife refers to her as her "Flying Family room". Want to guess what project was put off in lieu of buying an airplane?
Surprisingly, she's not bitter though. My wife has enjoyed our many hours and trips as well as all the great people we've met.

Hey again Jr CubBuilder. I did not know that this was one of the sites that I have to worry about. I noticed that you still have not edited your post. If that is the way you talk to your other trucker friends then I guess that is how it is.

Tim, I can understand your having an issue with your grandkids & JR's language. Unfortunately I too have a bad "trucker mouth" habit-- sometimes it just slips out, even in print. However, if I had made a poor choice of words like JR, and had a remark like "if that's how you talk to your mother" thrown at me, I probably wouldn't be in too big of a hurry to change it either.

I see that we cannot or I cannot figure out how to edit my last post. JrCubBuiler and I have exchanged private mesages and I hope things are cleared up. I did mention to JCB that some forums get pretty rank and I stay away from those.

nick names

A friend of mine flys a bonanza and calls that thing, "Baby". This nauseates me to no end so I have started referring to my C-185 as the Miracle Plane.

After putting floats on it in the summers, I think the "Wet Dream" is more appropriate. Hope this is not too PC incorrect, if it is, get a life. Ford
