North central Nebraska/southern SD strips
A general forum for anything related to flying the backcountry. Please check first if your new topic fits better into a more specific forum before posting.
A couple of old guys with a 180 and Husky are taking an impromptu 4-5 day excursion into N NE/S SD area and are asking for suggestions on fun strips. No issues with either AC on 400' or longer. Both retired and don't see each other skydiving anymore so we make it flying. Just flying for fun in a couple of weeks before winter and appreciate any suggestions. Checking with our RAF friends as well.
Thanks
Jack

Kinda far north, but one of my favorite airports in SD is Mobridge. Grass and paved, courtesy car, and friendly folks. Airports been closed all summer, so be glad to see you.

One of the best grass strips in Nebraska is KGTE. Smooth as a baby's butt and about 3000". World class golf course there too.

BTW: RAF guy in northern NE was a wonderful source and even guided us for a day. Gullies, alfalfa fields and occasional grass strips.
