Northwest Aviation Conference - Puyallup WA

Just wondering if anyone here attends this event?

Is it worth the trip? The agenda looks a bit slim, but maybe it's not finalized.

Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

I have been a few times and it was ok. Phil Boyer use to come and speak, it was kind of a hilight.

Mostly venders and some key note speakers and safety seminars.

I plan on going this year if the weather cooperates.

Cheers

Look here: http://www.washington-aviation.org/NACoverview.html

Usually worth the trip. You can double up on the gun show if you like. Next door as someone said.

Your wish is my command-- you can fly into Pierce County Airport (aka Thun Field), there's a shuttle provided to run you up to the fairgrounds. Caution: the wait can be quite long, esp if they only have one shuttle -- it's a good 45 minute round trip for the shuttle.
Also, non-members can attend the WAC gun show for a ($5?) admission fee, and buy ammo, etc-- but only members are allowed to buy or sell firearms.

I've seen you fly, your good enough you don't need an airport. Did you get some Bushwheels yet?

Your kidding right? What is the point of going to a gun show, or selling guns at a gun show, if a large portion of the attendees can't buy what your there to sell? #-o There must be more to this story. :^o

First of all, I doubt that the majority of attendees are non-members. Secondly, the members-only policy was to prevent sales to those prohibitted from owning guns-- WAC ran a background check as part of the membership process-- if you were prohibited from buying guns (convicted felon, etc) you didn't get to be a member. This policy was to prevent unsuitables from buying guns via the "gun show loophole" (as the news media put it).
The Washington Arms Collectors probably has a website that 'splains it better than I can.
