The Northwest Aviation Conference (aka trade show) is coming up this weekend, Feb 21 & 22, 2009. It's held at the Puyallup State Fairgrounds in Puyallup Washington, just east of Tacoma. Spencer's Aircraft Hardware is providing shuttle service from their shop at Thun Field /Pierce County Airport (KPLU) to the show, for those that fly in. Thee's gonna be a bunch of vendor's booth, some seminars, etc. Also.......
Ace supercub pilot, TV star, and media celebrity Carey Grey is once again hosting a BBQ at Thun Field on saturday. He posted on supercub.org about it, and he asked me to pass the word along here. ( He sez owning a supercub is not a prerequisite for attendance, but I wouldn't be surprised if us off-brand types got a little good natured razzin' .) The BBQ will be at the east end of the 4th row of hangars from the south end of the field. For those arriving in ground-effect vehicles, the street address of the airport is 16715 Meridian East, Puyallup WA 98375.
I have ordered up some good weather for this event, so hopefully I'll see some of you there.

Also, the Washington State Arms Collectors is putting on a gun show at the same fairgrounds at the same time as the aviation trade show.

If you have time, the WAC puts on a real good gun show. You can pay to get in if you're not a member, but only members can purchase a firearm.
