Guess so. I was just curious. I think Zane was/is from Reno?

I spend a lot of time in Minden myself - family connections.

Eh... Yup.

That's us in Northern Nevada. We all got way too much money and nothing to do but fly. Think I'll take the Mighty C172 TD into Hilton's Flying M Ranch and rub elbows, and other body parts, with Paris for a while.

I lived in Reno for several years. Many early members found the site probably from Nevada-oriented keywords in posts. Those early members spread the word I imagine.

NW Nevada and NE CA have some great flying.

Also, contrary to popular belief, Alaska is not the most popular haven for those running from society and the law. It's too close knit according to Bud Helmerick. Nevada is where you go to disappear... and then resurface on BCP.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

No income tax, one of the last cowboy states, gov leaves you alone for the most part, lots of guns, and sheep.

Looked down yesterday and saw about 300 or so sheep grazing around Stampede resivoir.

Could be a fun place for a lonely Nevadan with lot of time on his hands.....

Not sure I'd want to rub anything against *that*. No telling what it has been rubbing against prior to your arrival!

Would Paris even be welcome at the Flying-M? From what I'm told, grandpa ain't exactly proud of her, ah, accomplishments.

Unfortunately, Nevada is rapidly becoming "Eastern California" with all the usual, associated negatives. I still don't have a stoplight in my valley. Thank God for that.

I always remark to native Nevadans "don't blame me, I came here from Arizona!".
