Nostalgic 1949 Movie Filmed in AK - Planes, Guns, & a Blonde

What is neat about this campy and nostalgic 1949 movie is the great Alaska scenery filmed from the air. There are quite a few airplane scenes such as at 52m 55m, and 1hr and 3 m into the film, plus more. It is basically a horrible movie with great Alaska scenery, planes, guns, and of course the obligatory blonde. I am not sure what glacier they are flying over at about 53 minutes into the film. Maybe some of the true Alaskans here on BCP can identify the scenery. Also...no headsets at all....ahhhhhhhhhh...like it used to be back in the day :D

The Plot:

At first, installed in a hunting lodge, the two play in the wilderness. But then they sight a saucer. Investigating, our heroes clash with an inept gang of Soviet spies, also after the saucer secret.

You know if you were a glacier scientist or climatologist, this could a be great reference. Some of those glacier are way back into the mountains now.

… .beautiful images of Alaska before the current age

Alaska must have been a wild and wonderful place in 1950.

Good tourist promo for Alaska with all the pictures. Well, that's about it.

Notice at 58:40 there is no spinner on the propeller; but, when he lands at 1:02:19 there is now a spinner over the propeller hub. I think the airplane is a piper cub.

The scenery just steals this film...

A recipe for most if not all 1950's movies: cigarettes, alcohol and a pretty woman to bring coffee.
