This would be a sh@t of a thing to try and explain to the passengers....

so the older DHC-8's have the yoke swing over?

No - the DHC-8 is a large turboprop, with complete dual controls - they meant no time to "transfer control of the aircraft" to the copilot.

thank's that makes sense.

Edit; i do know that the DHC-8 is that's why i asked, it didn't make sense.
