Oh please not that again. Gunny might rejoin so he can say something.

Edit:
I have heard that Gunny is a great guy, I would like to shake his hand, but like all of us he suffers from Internet Insulation Rash Judgment Syndrome. It's much easier to type and delete when you don't have a guy standing in front of you looking you in the eye. Maybe someday he will rejoin and we can all be happy friends again...friends who don't delete all of their posts when they get offended. It's the equivalent of say, landing at Ingerson's fly-in, not liking the taste of the chili, so you leave and take home the chili pot you let him borrow.

Ooooh! Let's not go there. I for one will do all I can to make it. I am do back from AK the day before.
I would like to meet Mr. Gunny, I understand he's a good man. Somehow, things got out of hand. Oh well, water under the bridge.
Erik, let me know if you are going. I'll keep in touch. Missed you this last weekend. Went and checked out the fresh snow by Hurricane Ridge after breakfast yesterday. Just watching all the road hunters up by the Tubalcane Mine area. Glad I was in the air. Anybody have an idea if Mr. Hansen could use some contribution of some kind? I heard Gumbo!

Do me a favor guys; ask one of the old timers about the DC-4 that landed on the old grass strip at Harvey. It was probably in the late 70's during the flyin, interesting story.

No landing or mandatory fly-in fees will be levied for this informal gathering. Donations to offset the cost of food of course will be welcome.

I like Kurt's idea of an Eric fund. Feel free to contribute, it'll go to a good cause (my next airplane)......

Is there a frequency they like to use at Hansen's, or is it a NORAD show?

I'm in the middle of an annual, but will work every night on the
old girl until she's ready to go (weather permitting!).

Regarding the freq. I would just monitor Harvey's 123.0

Keep an eye out for skydiving south east of Harvey field if the weather is real nice.

Normal pattern is north of the train tracks.

Will somebody take some pictures. I've been told where Hansen field is, but some photos would be really great.
I hope you have great weather, I can't wait to get up there some time.

It's a go for tomorrow as long as the weather doesn't deteriorate too much. Some folks are gathering at Harvey around 8 to do some pre-flyin flying.

Late morning at Hanson's with food planned around 1 PM.

Here's a link to the previous info about the location:

http://flighttrac.com/flyin/2005/index.html

Look forward to meeting some new folks tomorrow!

How was the flyin? I saw some photos on the super cub site, what's the story with the pyramid.

About 5 planes went out to check out this little strip (if you could even call it that) Carey and I were the only ones stupid enough to land. Kinda soft but not any worse than sand. It's 300' edge to edge. Thanks Marc O. for the aerial pics. The rest of the day was nice, the weather held out although a bit cold. Lunch was great, more food than people. Wish more people could have shown up. A few managed to drive over which was nice. must of had about 15 planes total.

I checked out that overhead photo of the "pyramid" with you & Carey's planes on it. I tried to scale it off against the length of the airplanes, I guess it at around 200'. Even at 300' measured- wow! Quite a challenge-- I can see why there more people didn't land.
What is the pyramid? Looks to me like somebody kinda leveled off the top of a logged-off knob for a homesite, unless it's just a logger's landing.
