Fourteenth Annual Open House at the University Airport, KEDU, Davis, CA
Saturday, OCTOBER 22nd, 2016, 10 AM to 2 PM
This is a Community-oriented Open House: Static Displays, a low key, family type event, not an airshow.
Purpose is to introduce new college students and the Davis community to the value of general aviation.
>>>NOTICE: This is same weekend as the High Sierra Flyin. Sorry. That event is better flying, but if you are not attending that event you are invited to participate in this one. A map and photos showing your adventures would be great, but just you and your aircraft is good.<<<
In the past an L-29, Mustangs, Beach 18s, Beach 17s, CJ-6s, and BCPers have attended. We have never have a Wilga, so if one could come it will be neat.
Professor/Astronaut Steve Robinson’s hangar will be open with several flight simulators for use. His aeronautics students will be available to discuss their research. They show a great future for aeronautics. Some UAVs and that field of research activity will also be on display.
The Sheriff’s Aero Squadron will be there, and maybe CHP and Calstar aircraft. No army again this year so far. The local RC Club may display their aircraft.
Old cars, hot rods, electric vehicles and motorcycles are often on display.
Food (burgers and hot dogs) and Soft drinks will be available no charge.
Warning: Paved Runway, no grass (Yet)
This will also be listed in the event section.
