That has been a common site here in N/W Ontario the last few years. Lots of gold exploration, drilling going on 7 days a week. Helicoptors have been key in gathering data and moving people into remote locations. It is now as likely to see a helicoptor fly over as a Beaver on Floats. For those interested in aviation as a career, this may be a niche.

Same type of device and others have been here at SNY over the last several years..said there were studying ground water aquifer etc.. I think it was just a big dildo out to screw the taxpayer since we were paying for it!!

With the crap weather over Memorial Day here, at one point I was watching the Redux version of Apocalypse Now on the sat TV, and just a minute or before the famous line "I love the smell of napalm in the morning", when the big helicopter attack is going on, I am sitting there amazed at the audio..... I have a basic nice LCD 32" TV, nothing special, but the helicopter sound track was resonating through the house like I was at a movie theatre. Then I went out on the deck, and saw a military chopper, green anyway and big, was flying down the valley below me following I-15. They couldn't have timed it better! While outside I could hear the TV choppers and they all blended together for a great soundtrack.
