Off Airport Formation Flying

It's not everyday you see a Maule formation...cant remember the last time I actually saw one. A buddy and fellow Maule owner has a M7-235 that has an almost identical paint scheme as our MX7-180 so it makes for some cool formation photos. He has begun building a strip in the cow pasture out front of his farmhouse so we decided to have a little fun. The strip is currently only 700 ft usable due to a ditch in the middle that he is currently filling in which will extend the strip to 1,600. It's no problem for the Maules and makes for a fun day.

I love the shadow of the formation in the lower corner of this shot.

Our windscreens were clean before we began the flight...the hazards of operating out of a cow pasture.

Some people on the ground shot some video...not sure how it turned out, but if it is any good I will post a link once I get it uploaded.

I fly with a friend that has an identical Maule to mine. Same year, color, hp, and mods. We've been having more fun than human beings should be allowed to have.

If you find yourself in a hole quit digging.

Re: Off Airport Formation Flying

Some video taken from the ground...we changed up the formation a couple times then changed lead and repeated. The air was pretty rough so we did not keep it as tight as we would have otherwise.

What it looks like from the cockpit...not bad video quality for a phone.
