OH MY GOODNESS...

Love the new site... BUT, my heart is heavy... In the back-country aircraft section, they left Maule's off the list for suitable bush planes... I sure hope my MX180c doesn't see that...

I'll just let her continue to believe she's a good bush plane...

:(

Re: OH MY GOD...

I hate to burst your bubble but the Maule is a terrible backcountry aircraft. Bummer you have one. You should have purchased a Skywagon.... :^o

OH MY GOD...

Sigh.

I could have waited another 6 months to finish the knowledge base single handedly, or put up some demonstrations of concept and hope for some community help. List your favorite bush planes and they'll end up in the list once my hangover for launching this site wears off.

OH MY GOD...

I should have known better than to omit the Maule, even for the demo... At least it's on the tshirt this year. :)

The list of aircraft is the easy part. Aircraft specs and mod/STC lists will be the real bear.

Anybody else feel a twinge of regret when they see God's name used like that? Just sayin ...

Re: OH MY GOODNESS...

There's no S7 either. I guess I better write that Article in Brent's bad ass S-7 to make the list. :)

Re: OH MY GOODNESS...

Yeah, burst my bubble, I thought my S7 was a very capable bush plane (flown by a not so capable bush pilot).

Re: OH MY GOODNESS...

Probably. No Maule could make it in there. That's supercub / Skywagon territory!

Re: OH MY GOODNESS...

I don't recall having seen a wagon in Big Rocks and Long Props????? I would still take a wagon over my Maule all things being equal. BUT! To get a wagon equipped, TTAF, TSMO the same as my Maule would be cost prohibitive.

Anyone who has lived with the Maule barn doors knows that is worth a lot of trade offs. IMHO

An interesting side note. At Mile High I have seen crashed Stinson, Two 180s, Bear Hawk, Super Cub. No Maules?? Knocking on wood for the next 10 minutes.

Just kidding around here! :D

Re: OH MY GOODNESS...

Rob - Agree. To get a wagon equipped like my Maule and that will perform the same is a non-starter... Period!
