One down outside of Durango today

Actually it's not all that bad. Our buddy Mtnmatt got married this afternoon.

Went up to the airport(Animas Airpark) early this AM for some parts, and saw these 2 great lookin Stinsons up there. Shortly there after came Mtnmatt to check on the planes. Told me he was gettin married at one up at Andrews lake(10748'), so I told him I would give him a little flyby if I got my plane back together.

So, everything went well, and at at about12:30, my dad, Delvin(owner/operator of Animas Airpark),and me,took off headed for Andrews Lake. It's up by Molas Pass, just before ya drop down into Silverton/.

Weather wasn't quite as nice as ya would hope for, for picture takin, but I got a little video, and thought I would post it.

Congratulations Matt

Re: One down outside of Durango today

Thanks guys, and thanks again Gary for throwing something together to make a great moment a spectacular one.

The wedding was terrific and everyone loved CO. I am now a married man  , but the good news is Katie and I put 7 hours on the Stinson this week and we had a hellva time. We also went to Gateway for our mini-moon and I can't say enough good things about that resort. A perfect getaway for a hectic and joyful week.

I'll throw a few pics up soon.

To my surprise, Katie LOVED the auto museum. It was like stepping back into the glory days of the 1920/1930's. Katie would read the info about each car and then would give me a full tour. From the movie presentation, to the posters/signs on the walls, to the stories about each car and the ads, you really get the full experience.

An amazing wedding and an amazing mini-moon. Gateway is amazing, and the perfect getaway for Katie and I. A top notch resort hidden in the middle of nowhere. A great place to leave the distractions behind and enjoy the beauty of simplicity.

Nice job, Matt. Congrats. I think that's the first time I've seen Katie's face. All your previous TR's she was asleep in the cockpit. :P
