OOPSY!

Well not to sure of all the details as I type. However a small plane ???? Got hung up in some power lines down by the Crowley Ranch, in SE Oregon.

Fire trucks, SO Deputys, Ambulance, and a whole other gaggle of emergancy folks headed south from BNO responding to the scene, around 1:00pm pacific time.

Not to sure if it was right at the ranch or just close by. For this country close by is anything within 20 miles :lol:

Will post more detail when I hear.

Fly safe, Bub

Nuts

Well even sader note. If sader is a word? Super Cub pilot was the owner of the Crowley ranch and a long time pilot.

Flew combat in Korea, Vietnam, flew Helios in SEA. retired 747 Capt. Lot of hours in the air. Did not know him well, but heard numerous hanger flying stories from him. I had probably landed at the ranch 20 times or so when I was getting checked out in the 180, 10 years or so ago.

From news report and eye witness account, sounds like there was an engine problem, pulled up and right into the power lines.

Gods Speed.

See ya, Bub

Sad +++

A few years ago I hunted the Stockade Mtns just north of Crowley. We noticed the airstrip and my cousin (a 737 Capt) and I chatted with the owner about flying. It is very sad indeed...
