open cockpit Com and intercom

Anyone have suggestions for a portable open cockpit com and (2 place) intercom?

DRE 202, had it in my Stearman and it was EXCELLENT! Now, that being said, make sure you have good mic's and good mic covers.

I'll second the vote for the DRE. My Savannah flown doors off was pretty noisy, and the DRE worked fine, even with cheap headsets.

I'm not sure if DRE is still in business, though.

Thanks G44. that's exactly what it will be going in. Just sold the 206 and purchased my "Bucket List" plane

I was in China when I posted and I could get back on until I got home.

I will check into it.

I would go with a Flycom or a Lynx. I have personal experience with a Lynx setup in open-cockpit and they are really nice.

Good for you Bighorn! I have had 2 Stearman's over the years, sure do miss em. Tell us about your airplane. Picture???

In a Stearman, good mic muffs are critical.
