Orcas 8/23 - 8/24

Too many house projects and family obligations lately. Taking the little lady to the island this weekend to see the sites. Maybe bump into a BCPer or two while we're there?

Any updates on the airport? Camping under the wing available in grass parking area?

Yep, put your tent down by the plane. Porta Potty by gas pump. I thinks someone said there actually is a shower in the terminal you can use, but I am not sure on that.

At the Saturday market go for the Salmon Tacos!!

Thanks Tom. Andrea's friend was telling her camping on the island would be hard to come by. Now she's really excited. Welcome to the wonderful world of airplane amenities! \:D/

Yes, a shower in one of the hangars. Ask at the terminal for the code. Also, there is a foot path from the airport to the business district. Enjoy!

Definitely make the trek into Eastsound. It's very a very short walk and a cool island town.
For what it's worth, there's a pretty good slope to the runway, up to the south, down to the north.
