Orcas Island, WA Fly-In

The annual Orcas Island Fly-In 2012 is August 4th - 6th. Friday evening and Saturday being the most active days. Great place to visit. A short walk into the town of Eastsound. If you've never flown to the San Juan Islands your missing something. Hot showers are available at the airport.

Wish I could go. Years ago mid 80's I bought a maul that was on orcas island. Did a few practice landings there and Bellingham before returning it to Maine. Was a mechanic named robin with an ercoupe that helped me out. Wonder if anyone knows him? Nice guy. Maule not maul, damn spellcheck.

The weather is great, airplane being annualed. Pilot being bi-annuale next week.
