Oregon Flying?

Well, I finally made the move out of crazy CA to Salem, Oregon. I am keeping my PA-11 at Independece State. Looking forward to some Oregon Flying and exploring. Who's around? I already met a nice BCPer, TomW, down at Roseburg when I stopped for fuel. I got to find some grass strips.. :)

I'm out of Troutdale. Aways like to meet and FLY! DID I SAY FLY! with BCP friends. I'll be in Palm Desert this next week at the AOPA convention/trade show.

8GCBC I don't think we have met. Or have we? Where you based?

Kyle Independence is a great airport, the restaurant is one of my regular stops. I have a rental house right under short final for 34. By the way the house is 5 years old and I want to sell it.

Cheers...Rob

Re: Oregon Flying?

Hey Kyle,
Hope your getting settled in OK up there. I was so shocked to find out you were a BCP'r when I met you yesterday, that I forgot to warn you about OregonMaule. I know about those firefighter types 8) . Try to sell you anything. If he twists your arm too tight, take that jeremiah weed slowly :-? . I'll try to get up there for some flying asap.
Take care.

Tom Weiss perished in a mid-air collision October 12, 2014. He was an enthusiastic and beloved contributor here for close to 10 years, and he will be missed greatly.

Oregon Flying?

A little Jeremiah Weed and some lemonade, for a dirty Arnold Palmer. Good stuff!

Aviatorpa11, we have a great group here in Oregon that like to have fun.
.....I was a fan of Jeremiah Weed until my chin cought fire and our BCP fireman (Rob) sat on his ass and laughed. :-)

Re: Oregon Flying?

Welcome to Oregon! Our beautiful state is well represented here! I'm in Ashland (S03).

I'll be flying back and forth to Troutdale tomorrow to pick up a friend, so you may see me flying by!

Every Friday coffee and donuts at Lenhardt's 7S9. Just follow the stream of aircraft from Independence.

My buddy Jeff moved from Washington to the airpark adjacent to Independence about a year ago. He's not a BCP participant but he sure likes to fly so it's likely you'll run into him (figure of speech [-X ). He flies a Yankee taildragger and a Pacer, and hits Lenhardt's some fridays.
