I'll be making a trip from Central Oregon (KRDM) to the South Central Coast of California (KLPC) in a week. It's a VFR trip so I'll be leaving on March 10th, 11th or 12th and coming back on the 16th, 17th or 18th depending on the weather. I know March is not the best time to travel because of the unpredictable weather but I'm going to meet one of my uncles from Germany who will be visiting my folks down there for the week. I've never met him!

I'm familiar with the route because I usually fly my family down once a year, but this trip I'll be flying solo. And because I'll be alone and I have some flexibility on both ends I thought it would be fun to meet some of you and maybe do some flying on the way down or up if it works out! Of course, weather permitting.

I already have plans to meet and eat with one BCP'er just south of the border on my way down if all goes well. So shoot a post or a PM with any ideas and I'll try to accommodate. Any info on cheap fuel would be great too. I usually stop at WLW (Willows) for that reason and food, but it looks like there might be some other/better options out there price wise this time.

Looking forward to the possibilities.

Thanks Tim. I'll give you a call as the weekend approaches.

Left today around 1230 local time. GS of around 98kts for the first half and 140kts for the second. Watched the sunset just a little before landing. Beautiful flight.
