Outstanding TR down the AK Penn., Matthew Keller

This is an outstanding photo essay down the AK Penn., to Cold Bay and points beyond! Its about as "backcountry" as one can get...

Trips like this and the one Paul Klaus has just come back from our incredible. I am anxious to hear about Pauls recent trip to Iceland. Sounds like he left the 180 there...I wonder why...

ANyhow, check this out. Your going to like it I promise you.

Great stuff! Great find!
Fly ins and big shin digs have their place, but this is my minds ideal backcountry flying.

Take care, Rob

I worked out of Cold Bay for a few years in the mid seventies. That part of the world has some of the most amazing geology on the planet. And, Unimak Island is like Never Never Land.

If you ever get the chance to go there, do it. Just be prepared for a little weather....
