Oxford University Survey on Security Issues in Air Traffic

Dear Backcountry Pilots,

Apologies if you consider the following inappropriate for this forum. We are currently conducting a research study at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Oxford where we want to analyse the awareness and opinions of the aviation community regarding security issues in several air traffic control protocols.

We are looking for the opinions of pilots, controllers, engineers, regulators and other stakeholders. For our research, we are interested in security aspects of common communication technologies to help improve the next generation of these technologies. We would thus be very grateful if you could take a short amount of time to support our study.

Please note that this study is fully anonymous and no identifying data will be collected. During the study you will be asked to answer a number of questions in an online survey. Some of these questions will be simple multiple-choice others will ask for assessments of air traffic scenarios provided. Overall, this will take about 10-20 minutes.

If you want to take part in the study or are simply looking for more information, please visit this link:
