Page, AZ

Tidy little airport at Page, AZ. But, looking at the layout, I'd guess that when they DO have crosswinds there, they could blow the hair off your head.

but I'm not afraid

On the few occasions I had to land on the crosswind runway my one-notch-of-flaps, higher-than-usual-approach-speed landing roll out seldom went past the runway intersection, even in a 182

Yep, can be a bit windy.

Nice airport though. You can see my townhouse behind the hangers in your photo - got it rented now.

... and so you moved to Windy Pass to get away from it all?

Beautiful spots, both of them. I flew into Windy last year and Page was picturesque enough to make me want to become a boater (well, almost).

LOL! :D Well, let's just say that though I am a crappy pilot I happen to be pretty darn good at crosswind landings.

I originally learned in Kingman, Arizona (not exactly known for its dead air either) and it's been downhill and upwind (or crosswind) ever since...
