Pahrump - NV98 or CAAS

Anyone have any info on this strip?? Flying up to visit the in-laws soon and CAAS is only 5 minutes from their house (vs. over 20 to Calvada Meadows)

I've called the number registered with the FAA and it has been disconnected...

Current plan is to fly into Calvada anyways (they have fuel), but would love to be able to make future trips easier on them.

Re: Pahrump - NV98 or CAAS

Was just viewing this on Google Earth. Appears to my relatively inexperienced eye to be a good gravel strip with a hangar at the end.

They appear to also be known as the Caas-Hafen landing strip (Foreflight aerial map) and have a Facebook page:

If I have some time during my visit, I'll knock on some doors and see if I can find out any info on it.

It looked like you could also message them through Facebook. I’ll be curious to hear more about this place.

Check out NV54 just north of there. It's owned and managed by Heidi Fleiss...yes, that Heidi Fleiss. Might be worth stopping in for the story. Who knows what services are offered.

800’ x 25 ‘ at NV24. Best to brush up on the short field technique.
