Paint question
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?
A question for fellow Scout owners or folk knowledgeable on paints ...
I have had to put some new fabric on my fin after some corrosion repairs. The ACA paint on my plane is PPG Platinum, Delta process. It appears that the Delta process is not supported in Australia and I need something that is compatible. Anyone with any experience with this? While the repair will always show, I am happy if it just looks neat.
Thanks in advance A.B.

I have no idea what the rules are in Australia, but in the U.S. the Stewarts STC allows the use of Stewarts to make repairs on any other certified process. That's what I have used to make repairs on my Citabria with the PPG paint from ACA.

PPG Delta is a two part polyurethane. I use Poly Fiber process on everything. They make a two part polyurethane called Aero Thane. You could also use pretty much any polyurethane you want like imron since PPG Delta is an automotive paint anyways.
