Pancake Fly In Angwin, CA

There's a Pancake Fly-in at Angwin (2O3) this Sunday at 10am. It's a pretty cool little strip with a sporty approach on the West side of Lake Berryesa. Let me know if anyone is interested in going so we can meet up someplace.

Re: Pancake Fly In Angwin, CA

Phil I sent you a PM. I don't have a lot of details on this. It sounds like it not's going to be a huge event or anything. I'm sure the locals would like to see some different planes on their ramp. It's a pretty small community up there. I also heard there may be a couple of Mosquito helo's fly in. They are a little tiny single seat helo powered by a Turbine if you've never seen one... Pretty wild little machines.

The pancake portion is free and being provided by the Angwin airport folks as a "Thank You" for the users.

Re: Pancake Fly In Angwin, CA

Can you guys post up what you'll be flying or an N number so I can look you up while I'm there? I'll be in my little white Avid Flyer with Navy Blue scalloped trim. It's pretty hard to miss.

Do you remember which one? I soloed in 2005 in Champ 2805E. Went on to get my license in a Citabria. That poor champ is at the bottom of the Pacific because some dumbass ran out of gas.

Re: Pancake Fly In Angwin, CA

According to my log first solo in a Tailwheel airplane was 5-2-2006 in N2805E. That is sad to hear... I had 10.9 hours in that airplane.
