Very seldom do you come across a non-documentary film these days that contains aviation history. The film is a period piece from the late 20's and early 30's about Pearl Carter Scott. She was a fearless commercial pilot, and considered the youngest licensed pilot in America. She was mentored by and close friends of Wiley Post http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiley_Post(KPWA, flew over it last night). It is an incredible story rich in native american and aviation history.
The film is very family friendly, and my daughter loves it! It was produced by the Chickasaw Nation (my hometown tribe), and shot here in Oklahoma. The production value is a little cheesy at times. But for an independent and low budget film, not too bad IMHO. Plus you get to see video of some old vintage taildraggers landing on grass fields. I know everyone here loves to see that!
The film can be purchased locally in Oklahoma, or online at the Chickasaw Post for a whopping 15 bucks.
Not big on writing a full review on something, so I will just say I just bought this movie and loved it, and I think you would too.
