Pegazair 100
Technical and practical discussion about specific aircraft types such as Cessna 180, Maule M7, et al. Please read and search carefully before posting, as many popular topics have already been discussed.
Looking for basic numbers to use for our test flying . Anyone who has flown one that can share would be great.

I've never seen one, but heard of them. From what I understand, it's sort of a modified ZenAir 701?
A guy in our local EAA chapter was building one. However, everytime he got it close to flying he tore it back apart again to change something. He was obviously more interested in building than flying. He never invited anyone to his home shop to check it out. When I asked about it, he elucidated long & hard about the turbo'd (suzuki?) car engine he hung on the front & esp about the fancy electronics (FADEC?) associated with it. He said very little about the STOL qualities of the design, even though his backyard airstrip was only about 600 or 700 feet long & those qualities were gonna be very important.
EAA chapter has since dissolved and I haven't seen him or heard from/of him since. I think he was afraid of actually flying it-- I've seen that syndrome before with homebuilders. I think that after all the work involved in building an airplane, the possibility that it won't live up to their expectations (or even fly worth a darn at all) is just too depressing to take a chance on. So there it sits.
