Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

good letter, I hope it does not fall on deaf ears. The main problem that the AOPA while a good and concerned organization does not have the kine of special interest money to put in the pockets of the politicians. They will vote for the people that put money in their pocket, or um special projects, sorry a bit jaded I know but I am way tired of this type of politics where only the big $$ get what they "need" and the rest are at the hind tit.

GA taxes

We all have a Congressional representative and two Senators.

Their fax numbers are posted on their websites as well as their mailing addresses.

Please write one letter supporting the House Bill H.R. 2881 to your Representative and a letter to each of your Senators supporting H.R. 2881 and expressing your opposition to Senate bill S. 1300 which contains user fees.

Letters and faxes have far more impact than emails.

We are a very small community but with everyone writing letters it may occur to the folks in D.C. that our votes might matter more than the Airlines' lobby money.

If we don't make noise, user fees and higher GA taxes are a certainty. Once the airlines get "tax relief" it will never be taken back and we will be carrying the load. $5.00/gal Av gas will be a fond memory along with no cost flight plans and weather briefings.
